MOHAMMED BIN SALMAN NONPROFIT CITY SIGNS AGREEMENT WITH LE CORDON BLEU ARABIA EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTE
Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City has signed an agreement with Le Cordon Bleu Arabia Educational Institute for Culinary Arts, one of the world's leading centers of learning within the "Le Cordon Bleu" network of culinary arts and hospitality management institutes. This agreement will support the establishment of an advance institute of culinary arts within Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City and serve to support and develop talents in the fields of culinary arts locally and globally. The signing ceremony was attended by Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City, CEO, David Henry; Le Cordon Bleu, President and CEO, André Cointreau; and Culinary Arts Commission, CEO, Mayada Badr.
The establishment of Le Cordon Bleu Arabia Educational Institute at Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City, Riyadh, comes as part of the Culinary Arts Commission's efforts to raise the efficiency of the culinary arts sector in the Kingdom. It makes international expertise accessible to those interested and practicing culinary arts, as well as provides distinguished educational options by attracting the most prestigious culinary and hospitality academies and institutes to the Kingdom.
David Henry, CEO of Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City, said: "Le Cordon Bleu will preserve the goals of the City and Vision 2030 by providing abundant opportunities for Saudi talent that help them achieve their creative ambitions, as well as attracting global talent.”
André Cointreau, President and CEO of Le Cordon Bleu, said, "Saudi chefs are incredibly creative, and the culinary school will help them hone their basic and classical skills.
Mayada Badr, CEO of the Culinary Arts Commission, said: " Mohammed Bin Salman Nonprofit City is the ideal location for the first institute in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. We look forward to inspiring and motivating and building key skills to enable all learners to gain diverse cultural experience in the field of culinary arts.”
The preamble to the current program was held in 2019, where the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation, "Misk,” in partnership with the Kingdom’s Quality of Life program, and "Le Cordon Bleu," launched a specialized training program in the culinary arts. The program has since graduated 30 young men and women from 6 different regions across the Kingdom.
